Role Description

Your responsibilities: You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing analytical applications based on the ClinicalBERT model for analyzing electronic health records (EHR). Your role will also include integrating language models with medical systems, optimizing analytical processes, and supporting clinical decision-making. A key aspect of this position is knowledge of the IHE XDS standard and its application in interoperable environments.

Responsibilities

1. Application Design and Implementation

  • Creating and implementing analytical systems based on ClinicalBERT.
  • Building tools for extracting medical data (diagnoses, procedures, test results).

2. Integration with EHR Systems and IHE XDS

  • Designing applications that facilitate the exchange of medical records in multi-organizational environments.
  • Ensuring compliance with IHE XDS, including configuring document repositories and metadata registries.
  • Integrating applications with EHR systems and medical document repositories (HL7 CDA, FHIR, DICOM).

3. Medical Data Analysis and Processing

  • Preparing input data and processing large clinical data sets.
  • Optimizing data flow with interoperability requirements in mind.

4. Model Evaluation and Optimization

  • Monitoring and tuning the performance of ClinicalBERT.
  • Designing model improvements for better medical document analysis.

5. Documentation and Support

  • Creating technical and operational documentation.
  • Training end-users (clinicians, medical analysts).

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Higher education in: Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with NLP models or medical data analysis.
  • Familiarity with EHR data and language models, such as ClinicalBERT and BioBERT.

Knowledge of Standards and Interoperability

  • IHE XDS: Experience with document repositories and registries compliant with XDS.
  • Familiarity with standards: HL7 CDA, FHIR, DICOM.
  • Experience in multi-organizational environments.

Technical Skills

  1. Programming and Tools
    • Strong knowledge of Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers).
    • Experience with Pandas, NumPy.
  2. Language Models and NLP
    • Hands-on experience with BERT and its variants.
    • Knowledge of fine-tuning and pre-training language models.
  3. Databases and Big Data
    • Proficiency in SQL, big data tools (Apache Spark).
    • Experience with HL7 and CDA data formats.
  4. Cloud and DevOps
    • Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure.
    • Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes in production environments.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Translating complex technical problems into practical solutions.
  • Attention to detail and effective project management.

What We Offer

  • Work with cutting-edge AI technologies in medical analytics.
  • Training in interoperability standards and data processing.
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options.
  • Competitive salary based on skills and experience.
